The Top Seven Ways We Injure Our Genitals

In the recently published Journal of Urology, data from the past decade was gathered, showing the most common types of genital injuries. This is a type of trauma that is “remarkable given its uniquely sensitive nature and possible reproductive consequences.”

Researchers at UCSF used a nation wide sample of data from various hospitals, showing the correlation between emergency room visits and the (mis)use of consumer products. The data was gathered by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission, in order to prevent future injuries around the groin.
