Jay-Z Explains He Is Famous to Old Lady on Subway

Captured in a documentary about the artist extraordinaire — Where I'm From — Hova jumps on the train at Canal Street, sits down in one of those traffic cone orange bucket seats and gets asked by a sweet woman "Are you famous?"

"Yes. Not very famous. You don't know me," Jay responds. "I'll get there someday."

Clearly Jay-Z should've led with "I'm Beyonce's hubby and Blue Ivy's daddy" because we all know those are really the celebs of the family.

But little did Jay-Z know he was in the presence of a true New York star; the little old lady was noted New York artist Ellen Grossman.

Wow.  Sometimes life is like a sitcom.  Cameo after cameo.
